Drake ID

The Drake campus has contactless card technology. Door access is facilitated for any card access door through your Drake ID. In addition to door access, the Drake ID will also serve as your campus ID and can be used to:

• Access those buildings you have been authorized to enter outside normal operating hours
• Check out items at Cowles Library
• Utilize the Bell Recreational Center
• Ride the Drake Safe Ride Bus and Des Moines DART bus system free of charge
• Purchase meals through your meal plan or Bulldog Bucks
• Attend Drake Athletic Events

Students and employees are encouraged to utilize a Mobile Drake ID.  Instructions on how to access the mobile credential are posted in the Knowledge Base.  If you feel that you cannot utilize a Mobile Drake ID, please contact Student Services to discuss options for another form of credential. You must have a photo loaded into the Drake system before you can load your Mobile Drake ID.  Feel free to submit your photo online!

If you had a physical Drake ID prior to mobile credential rollout, you may continue to use either/both ID cards.  If you choose to replace a lost physical Drake ID instead of moving to a mobile credential, replacement fees for lost cards are $50.  Please note that there may be a delay in receiving your card, as cards may need to be ordered from an external vendor.
